from our president..

Hello and welcome to the Eta Sigma chapter of Delta Gamma at the College of Charleston! Thank you so much for stopping by, we hope that you get a better understanding of what it means to be a part our unique chapter.

The sisters of Eta Sigma continuously strive to uphold the ideals of what it means to be a Delta Gamma. Together we make it a priority to support our philanthropy, aim towards academic success, and create a sisterhood that will last a lifetime. Our members truly embody Delta Gamma’s motto of “Do Good”.

We have created a home away from home for our members and let them know that even after we graduate, we will still be tied together through our sisterhood. It is not an organization that will be with us just through college, but it will remain with us throughout our entire lives.

Delta Gamma has been the most rewarding experience since I came to College of Charleston. After transferring in as a sophomore, I went into formal recruitment looking for a sisterhood that encompassed everything that I’d ever want in a best friend. I was lucky enough that Delta Gamma found me, and now a year and a half later I can genuinely call this place home.

Eta Sigma frequently looks for new ways to integrate our philanthropy in the beautiful city of Charleston, SC. We raise awareness to our community through our philanthropy events such as Anchor Splash and Anchor Slam, and this past year we welcomed a new tradition, the White Cane walk. The city of Charleston has tremendous opportunities for the students at College of Charleston, and the members of Eta Sigma do not hesitate to jump in on the endless possibilities. From study abroads, to internships, or even volunteer work outside of our philanthropy, Service for Sight, our members exert themselves to the best of their abilities.

Through Delta Gamma, I was given the opportunity to live in the house, which is historic to Charleston, I have met my best friends, and have been able to network with so many people in the Charleston area. I am so incredibly proud and excited to lead such an amazing group of women. There is so much potential within our chapter that I cannot wait to unleash. It truly is an honor to represent the chapter that helped shape me into the woman that I am today. Thank you again for stopping by, and we hope that one day you get the opportunity to meet our amazing sisters and find your home with us here in Charleston!
